VOWS and Channel 2’s “Everyday” Announce Winners of the Dream Wedding Giveaway

Denver’s finest wedding vendors and KWGN join together to help a deserving couple create a wedding of their dreams

DENVER, Colo. (April 19, 2010) – After a total of nearly 20,000 online votes to www.kwgn.com/everyday , we have a winner! Twenty-seven-year-old Lauren Doyle and 29-year-old Arthur “Archie” Martinez beat out three other couples to win the wedding of their dreams. The couple received 9,691 votes during the week-long voting process. “I’m thrilled,” said Doyle. “It’s absolutely a dream come true.”

VOWS, Colorado’s finest wedding collective, and KWGN’s “Everyday” teamed up to give away the all-expenses-paid dream wedding valued at more than $75,000. “We have the area’s top wedding professionals donating their goods and services to make this an unforgettable event,” said Kerri Butler of VOWS.

Online voters will choose everything from the dress to the DJ over the next several weeks. The wedding will take place in mid-June. Currently, the vote is on for the venues: a choice between the Chateau at Fox Meadows in Broomfield, Peaks at the Hyatt Regency-Denver and Cielo at Castle Pines. The winning venue will be announced on the air at 10 am, Monday, April 26th.  Voting also starts that day for the wedding dress provided by The Little White Dress Bridal Shop of Castle Rock.

The VOWS wedding collective, the first of its kind in Denver, brings more than 20 wedding vendors together under one roof. It’s a one-stop-shop where future brides and grooms can choose every detail of their big day. KWGN’s “ Everyday” show,  hosted by Natalie Tysdal, Chris Parente and Crystal Egger, airs on Channel 2 at 10 am Monday through Friday.
