Heart and Art on Display at Auction

The Friends of Gateway Foundation held its annual 9th Annual Holiday Charity Event Art Auction on Nov. 21 at the very cool Proehlific Park Athletic Complex in Greensboro. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support children and young adults with disabilities.

Rosemary Plybon, a reporter for WFMY News 2, served as emcee for the auction which showcased some beautiful pieces of art. This is an event you won’t want to miss next year as you can get some great holiday gifts and the money goes to an amazing cause. Proehlific Park (www.proehlificpark.com) is owned by former NFL wide receiver Ricky Proehl. The complex is a spacious and indoor and outdoor facility in Greensboro, where kids from all over the region flock to develop their abilities in a long list of sports. Proehl played on four Super Bowl teams, including the world champion St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV and the world champion Colts in Super Bowl XLI.
