Skies Clear Up for Ryan and Ashley

The Whalehead Club in Corolla (in the Outer Banks) was the site of Ryan and Ahsley’s gorgeous reception. You couldsee the sundown glisten off the water in the ideal setting for any couple’s first day together as one.

But it didn’t look like it would be that way. For several hours prior to the reception, the skies opened up and it poured. This wasn’t one of your typical beach showers where it would rain for a few minutes and the sun would come up. It freakin’ poured — and for awhile!

By the time the reception started, you would have had no idea the place was under water an hour prior to the event. Nannette and Eric Kallestad of The Proper Setting (www.thepropersetting.com) work their tales off and did a remarkable job getting the place ready.  This team are THE people to call if you are planning a wedding in The Outer Banks — they expect everything and still pull off a beautiful event.
