Attention all Philadelphia Gentlemen! Valentine’s Day is just days away! Now we know that all our Philly boys are diligently planning away their nights festivities to every last detail. But sometimes we all need a little help from time to time in the love department. No need to be ashamed fellas, romantic planning can be an arduous task. But have no fear, for your friends at Shutterbooth are certified professionals in the realm of love. We’ve seen enough couples kissing in our Shutterbooths that if there was a Ph.D. in romance we’d have opened our own institution by now.

So we hope you’re ready men, because this is the first segment of Shutterbooth’s “Valentine’s Day 101.” Today’s lesson-The Dinner.

The dinner, the quintessential backbone of your Valentine’s Day activities. You can purchase all the card, candies, and flowers that your heart desires, but if you mess up your dinner plans, then we hope your couch is comfy, because you’ll be spending an awful lot of time on it.

Step 1: Prepare, Prepare, Prepare

Philadelphia has some of the most world-renowned restaurants this country has to offer. But if you think that on February 14th, you’ll be able to walk through those restaurant doors and secure a table, you got another thing coming. So plan ahead boys! In fact, stop reading right now, pick up your phone, dial your favorite restaurant’s number, and reserve your spot today. It will take you all of five minutes, but the thought behind it will resonate in your lady’s mind for years to come.

Step 2: Dinner Talk

""

Whatever you do, leave the ESPN talk at home! Keep your cell phone in your pockets at all times, and just stare into your women’s eyes all night long. This night is about her, and the love you share together. So talk about that love, talk about how you feel. Ask her about her day, about her job, anything at all that has to do with her. Oh, and don’t forget to listen either, that’s pretty important to guys!

Step 3: Thoughtfulness

Put some thought into your plans gents. Sometimes going out to dinner is the generic, easy way out in the eyes of your soulmate. Simple Solution? A homemade dinner. Nothing spells romance like seeing the man of your dreams slaving away over a hot stove. So grab your finest cooking apron, surf around online for the perfect recipe, light up some candles and whip up the best darn dinner your manly hands can produce.

Okay guys, we hope you took some good notes, but rest assured, we haven’t even begun to skin the surface of our Valentine’s Day 101 lessons. When we are done with you you’ll be a googly eyed, lovesick, Valentine’s Day machine!
