The Great Chef’s Event 2017
We were so excited to be a part of this amazing event that helps to raise money and awareness for two outstanding non-profits – Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Verti Community Partnership. Both help kids and their families in different, but important ways. Silent and live auctions helped to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Verti Community Partnership – over $700,000!
Hosted at the Urban Outfitters Headquarters in the Navy Yard, over 40 chefs and 1200 attendees mingled, bid on auctions, and stuffed their faces with some amazing cuisine. Those who were able to keep up, kicked it well into the wee hours of the night at the ultra cool after party. Philadelphia’s own gangsta rap legend, Schoolly D., headlined as the DJ, keeping everyone bopping along and filling the dance floor.
ShutterBooth may have spotted a celebrity chef hamming it up in the photo booth when he wasn’t busy offering up Federal Donut fried chicken sandwiches. In addition to Federal Donuts, Adam Perry Lang served up short ribs right off the big rig smoker, and Jose Garces’ Distrito Food Truck was slinging their famous tacos all night long.
The after party’s beer bar was stylishly sponsored by Peroni Nastro Azzurro. Guests also enjoyed sips from sponsors Philadelphia Distilling Bluecoat Gin, Tito’s Vodka and Dad’s Hat Whiskey – it’s no wonder guests had a hard time leaving, even at 1:30am!
