Ivatan International Reunion – The Orleans Hotel And Casino – December 7, 2013

The Ivatans are a Filipino ethnolinguistic group predominant in the Batanes Islands of the Philippines.  Their reunion was held at the Mardi Gras ballroom located inside the Orleans Hotel and Casino.  Ivatans residing from all over the world came to the reunion to promote friendship and brotherhood, to pursue community welfare and mutual understanding, and most importantly, to preserve the Ivatan tradition and culture that makes them unique.  Shutterbooth was there to capture the beautiful people that attended.  We had a green screen setup with the beautiful Batanes Islands as the backdrop and everyone had a great time taking pictures with props that even included a vakul in which Ivatans’ used as headgear protecting them from heat and rain.  It was an honor to work the Ivatan reunion and we learned a lot  about it’s people and their culture.  We wish you all the best.
