Tartan Day Celebration

St. Andrew’s Society of Detroit hosted a Tartan Day Celebration at the Kilgour Centre. Tartan Day is a celebration of Scottish heritage and the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath.

This gathering was a party and a fundraiser!  All proceeds went to benefit pediatric cancer patients in Southeast Michigan hospitals.

Throughout the night, guests enjoyed the entertainment of a DJ playing some of the hottest tracks (with a bit of Scottish inspiration, of course).  The crowd loved the bagpipe player, and cheered on the woman doing a Scottish dance around a sword.  ShutterBooth had people hopping in and out of their booth throughout the entire evening.  Everyone had an amazing time, and there was real excitement in the air when the raffle prizes were given out.  Prizes included an Aveda gift certificate, spray tans, and even a trip to Las Vegas!
