Nicole and David’s friends and family gathered on Saturday at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Southgate to toast the couple on their wedding day.  There was no lack of toasting thanks to the champagne fountain featured in the ballroom!  The bubbly may have primed the guests for the humorous antics of the bouquet and garter toss and the father of the bride’s wedding toast.

The man and woman who caught the garter and bouquet respectively hadn’t met before, but we bet they won’t forget each other any time soon!  The DJ had the man approach the lucky lady on all fours, but then place the garter respectfully on her arm.  The father of the bride also had a great sense of humor– he put an old-fashioned ball-and-chain on the groom’s ankle and collect dollar bills from the crowd until he had paid his dues.  Congratulations, Nicole and David!  May you laugh as much in your new marriage as we’re sure you did on your wedding day!
