First Waltz 2009

The First Waltz 2009, was a rock and roll fairy tale held at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland. It was an amazing night of sharing the joy of live music with all of the foundation’s friends and supporters. We were fortunate enough to share in this magical night with our ShutterBooth. We started the evening with so many fun group pictures of Barry Winovich and his family and friends! Barry Winovich, along with his family and friends, founded the Bright Side of the Road Foundation in 2006 soon after Barry was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”.

The foundation’s goal was to assemble a collective of energy and resources for organizing events that raise funds for ALS research. The foundation is incorporated in the State of Ohio and is organized exclusively for the charitable and scientific purposes. Their mission is to make grants to support activities and projects relating to the causes, prevention, treatment and cure for ALS and they also support other organizations whose purpose is to raise awareness, educate patients, families, caregivers and the general public about ALS.

It was a great experience to be a part of the evening and we look forward to working with the Bright Side of the Road Foundation again!
