Griffin Museum Gala & Photograph Awards

What a night of beautiful sights we had at The Griffin Museum this past weekend. Located in Winchester MA, the Griffin Museum caters to both well known photographers and those emerging onto the photography scene. It is quite a surprise to walk into the very old turn of the century home and enter into a mix of both modern art displays and old world architecture.

Although Shutterbook wasn’t among the guests to walk the red carpet, we certainly made a red carpet impression. We set up in the main cocktail room of the museum and had questions and inquiries immediately. The props were the most abundant we have ever seen, and were used more than any other event in Shutterbooth Boston history! I don’t think we can count on one hand the amount of photos taken without hats, scarves, glasses, or tiaras :  ) We shall see if anyone can recognize them!

A silent auction was underway for the first part of the evening while guests were dining on filet of beef, nicoise salad, and cocktails. There must have been fifty plus items on the auction table! Items included tickets to the Boston Bruins, Wine of the Month club for an entire year, and a weekend at Loon Mountain in Lincoln NH. The awardees were recognized and included ‘Rising Star’, ‘Lifetime Achievement’, and ‘New England Beacon’. All of which were remarkable achievements, Congratulations to the winners!
