For Mardi Gras we teamed up with the lovely folks at Yelp.com<\/a> and Salvage One<\/a> to throw a Carnivale themed fundraiser for Haiti!<\/p>\n

Salvage One<\/a> is one of the most unique and interesting event spaces in Chicago and it provided a fabulous backdrop for this event. (Planning a wedding, fundraiser, corporate event or other party? Definitely give Sara a call and check it out!)<\/p>\n

Attendees posed for their choice of color or black & white photobooth pics in the ShutterBooth<\/a> and tried out their “action moves” in the Actionbooth. Musical entertainment was provided by D~Lux Mizik (and Midwest Kompas band) and the dance troupe Chi~Caribena performed a dance piece for the event. In addition to the authentic music and photo ops, Chef JP Nettles’ Ambrosia Experience<\/a> served an assortment of {delicious!} Haitan and Carribean treats. Proximo Spirits generously provided Kraken Rum, 1800 Silver Tequila, Three Olives new “Rangtang” Vodka and Shiner Bock & Trumer Pils beers for the event.<\/p>\n

Attendees purchased tickets for the event and participated in a silent auction and raffle to raise money for Yele Haiti<\/a> & L\u2019H\u00f4pital de la Communaut\u00e9 Ha\u00eftienne<\/a> (The Community Hospital of Haiti) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.<\/p>\n
