Hennessy Video Effects

Hennessy reached out for activation ideas to celebrate the latest limited edition bottle and partnership with Felipe Pantone. Felipe Pantone is an acclaimed Argentine-Spanish contemporary artist and the latest to collaborate with the Cognac brand, which has a longstanding reputation for supporting artists and celebrating urban culture.

For 2019’s Hennessy V.S. (Very Special) Limited Edition bottle, Pantone used his signature black and white grid pattern with bold, 3D illusions to, in his words, “remix the present.” 

Pantone said “There are many elements—like Hennessy Very Special. used to be called Hennessy 3 Star back in the day—so I incorporated three stars, which is an element used very much in graffiti, same as the arrows,” he added.

These 3 stars along with the bright, vibrant colors were the inspiration for our activation. The client wanted something new and fresh – in their words, not a standard GIF or anything anyone has seen before. 

Using video effects we created a vibrant colored animated overlay ending in an animation featuring the limited edition bottle, set to music the client provided. 

This unique video effects activation, designed exclusively for Hennessy’s project was set up in nightclubs around the country in special stands with tv wall mounts to improve the view for the public- from the east coast to the west coast; New York, Chicago, Miami, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and more.
