Holiday Weddings are Oh, So Very Merry

There’s really no debating that the holidays are one of the most romantic times of the year to get engaged to your true love. But engagements aren’t the only special events going on this time of year.

Many brides choose the final two months of the year to tie the knot, and I’m not just talking about the bows on those Christmas gifts. It can be a stressful time of year, that’s for sure. Family gatherings, gifts to buy, cold weather and workplace deadlines can deter many a lady from setting her date anytime between Turkey Day and New Years.

But don’t get your tinsel in a wad.

There are so many lovely positives to getting hitched during the holidays, and here’s ShutterBooth Atlanta’s top 3 reasons why holiday weddings are oh, so very merry:

1. Built-In, Absolutely Beautiful Decor.

Glistening snow, twinkling lights, ribbons, bows, and garland. It’s all so flipping beautiful, readily available and the perfect backdrop to your November or December wedding. Not only will you be celebrating with your friends and family, but take a look around and it’s almost like the world is celebrating right along with you! Not to mention that churches are generally already decorated this time of year, so brides can save  quite a lot of bucks on ceremony decor as long as they’re down with green garland and poinsettias.

2. Your Family and Friends are Probably Already Getting Together.

Let’s face it. Travel can be an obstacle that many a bride has to contend with when going over her guest list. But brides who set their wedding dates near to Thanksgiving and Christmas might just give that uncle from Alaska, or that second-cousin living it up across the Atlantic, a little more incentive to make the trek. And with friends and family already anticipating taking off work and traveling to be together for a special occasion, why not make your big day part of the festivities?

3. Honeymoons to Tropical Locations are More Fun When You’re Escaping the Winter-Time Chill.

This one, ladies, is pretty self-explanatory.
