Strike the perfect pose

Okay guys… it’s time for a pow-wow. We’ve posted a lot of pictures on this blog, on Facebook and pretty much anywhere else we can plaster your sweet faces… but we’ve come to the conclusion that an intervention is required before this trend starts to look a little monochromatic.

Thus said, the BEST ideas to make your pose POP and your memories to make people laugh forever.

Don’t look at the screen, folks… look at the camera!

Honestly, this is picture posing 101… as tempting as it is to see just how ridiculously cute you look, eyes forward makes for the best result. Otherwise, onlookers might see you as a little cross-eyed and a whole lot of confused. Plus, there’s always a countdown, so check your pose and then refocus on the moneymaker taker. Cheese!

Cuteness in numbers, caution in frame

These days, good pictures have a solo smiler, cute couples, trios or up to fifteen-plus peeps crammed into the booth. We’ve seen success with it all, but make sure your numbers make sense. If you can’t see little Tommy, then you gotta re-adjust… And if you’re by yourself (hats off to you), you better fill that frame with some unforgettable spark.

Props, props and more props

Don’t just wear the props, tell a story with the props! Put everyone in a hat, try coordinating your colors or role-play with the random (they’re always random) pieces your group has chosen. Overall, have fun with it – let loose and don’t be afraid to get your money’s worth from those fuzzy, sparkly, vibrant add-ons!

Change is good!

Seriously, how many photos can you take kissing, smiling or looking excited? Well, you’d be surprised… but don’t be afraid to go BIG with your variance… Get your arms involved, coordinate new emotions, play with the props or snag new people for each new frame. Come on guys – this is your shot to rebirth all those faces you got in trouble for making at the camera in elementary school!
