ShutterBoothing in the Community – While we receive about a dozen requests per week to donate our booth and services to various charities, we felt this one was really special. We are proud to donate a ShutterBooth Photo Booth for the St. Joseph Children Hospital Annual Prom taking place tonight!!

St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital’s Annual Prom serves pediatric patients who were unable to attend their own prom due to hospitalization or who, due to life-limiting illness, will most likely never get the opportunity. The Hospital’s Prom is traditionally an all-day affair. Beginning in the early afternoon, patients arrive at the hospital or are escorted from their rooms to begin their day of pampering. Professional hair and wig styling, taffeta-layered and jewel-adorned prom dresses, tuxedo fittings, fragrant corsages and doting makeup artists make this event everything that a traditional prom would be. That is, of course, except for the attendees. These special kids, whose everyday life is filled with a multitude of physical and emotional tests, get to be normal for one precious day.

The St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Prom is one of several tools our hospital and its Child Life team employ to return normalcy to these kids’ lives. The majority of patients served by Prom are frequently hospitalized or developmentally delayed, requiring homeschooling and taking away many possibilities for normal peer interaction. This event helps relieve them from their burdens and allows them to spend a night free from their illness. The parents and families of these special children are just as affected by their condition. . Creating a non-stressful environment, such as Prom, allows kids to be kids and parents to be parents.

Any community support is welcomed and encouraged. Whether you choose to participate as an individual, a group, or as an established organization, your involvement will impact each of our young patients.

ShutterBooth recently teamed up with Chair Scholarship Foundation

We recently teamed up with ChairScholar Foundation to feature a ShutterBooth Photo Booth at their annual summer event.  The photo booth was a huge success.  Since our photos booths are completely wheel chair accessible, the kids we able to wheel right into the booth for fun photos.  We also were able to aim the camera downward so we could get the best photo possible.  The event was so much fun.  “We are always happy to contribute where we can.” said Monique Turley – Owner of ShutterBooth Photo Booths Tampa Bay.

ShutterBooth Teamed up with NorthStar Bank to help with the “Bash on the Blue”  the Thirteenth Annual Gary Nix Memorial BASH ON THE BLUE Party & Fishing Tournament brings the community together to benefit two great charities. The festivities kick off Thursday with a fun party highlighted by dinner, music, casino tables and silent and live auctions. The inshore, catch and release, fishing tournament is Friday. Fishing is followed by a bar-b-que picnic, featuring an awards ceremony with a grand prize of $1,000, other cash prizes and trophies.  Fishing props complimented all the photos taken inside the ShutterBooth Photo Booth.  “Photo Booths are so much fun” said one event participant. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that:

• clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and
• obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.

In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.

Pinups for Pit Bulls, Inc. works to educate the public about the history and temperament of the American Pit Bull Terrier and Bully Breeds, to raise awareness about Breed Specific Legislation and Breed-Specific abuse, and to raise funds for bully-breed-friendly rescues and dogs in need.  The goal is to reestablish the defamed reputation of the Pit Bull as America’s premier companion animal, war hero, and therapy dog.

ShutterBooth Tampa recently teamed up with Easter Seals Florida Inc for the sixth annual  ” A Pair to Remember” event located in trendy Winter Park, FL.  The silent auction event brought women from all walks of life together to bid on something most all women love….SHOES!!!  The AlbinPolasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens was the perfect setting for this charity event.  The beautiful and serene setting offered guests a “yacht experience” with short boat rides across the lake.  The ShutterBooth Photo Booth only served to enhance the many luxuries women were able to experience.
