Trent’s Paradise Party by Make-A-Wish – The Hills Clubhouse, Anaheim Hills, CA

Trent’s Paradise Party was a lively, fun bash at The Hills Clubhouse at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course in Anaheim Hills, California. Make-A-Wish created a dream-come-true celebration for Trent, his family, and friends. Everything was tropical and colorful for the Cheeseburger in Paradise theme. Tables were decorated in bright-colored linens with coconut, starfish, flip-flop, and hibiscus centerpieces. Bob Gail Special Events donated beach-themed props, like beach huts, palm trees, surf boards, banners, and special lighting.

Rockwell’s Creative Cakes made Trent a custom cake that looked like a humongous cheeseburger on a bed of french fries and as if one cake was not enough, a family friend created another cake that looked like a huge cheeseburger and she got creative using brownies as the meat patty! The mood was set by a fantastic, talented caribbean music group called U-B Jammin, who played on steel drums and took us away to the islands. Brian Flores of Galaxy Classic Distribution emceed the event and played tunes when the band wasn’t playing. Trent arrived in a limo and when he walked into the party he was given a warm welcome with a standing ovation! The great photographers of Mystic Lake Photography donated their services to capture the fun, excitement, and love moment by moment.

Guests munched on finger foods like mini sliders and chicken skewers. We were so happy to donate our SoCal ShutterBooth photo booth to help make Trent’s with come true. We had a ton of fun mingling with guests and creating his scrapbook guest book and bookmarks. Our tropical props were a big hit! Paul & Allie – Orange County Mining Co., Orange, CA

High in the hills of Orange, California, at the Orange County Mining Co., Paul and Allie celebrated their marriage with family and friends. Allie planned a wedding and reception with a lot of personal touches that reflected their own style. The color palette included shades of green, chocolate brown, kraft paper brown, cream, and touches of lilac. She also threw in some camouflage as a tribute to Paul, who serves in the US armed forces. With a love for sunflowers, they were in every centerpiece and on the cake. Petals by Xavi created centerpieces made of sunflowers, purple stalks, and hydrangeas that were in wooden pails with the bride and groom’s first initials and a heart branded on the sides. The reception had a rustic, country feel with the bride wearing cowboy boots under her wedding dress and her bridesmaids wearing chocolate boots with their dresses. Guests had a blast dancing to music played by Fly by Night Disc Jockeys and posing in the SoCal ShutterBooth photo booth with silly props. Dave & Danielle – The Cliff Restaurant, Laguna Beach, CA

Dave and Danielle tied the knot in Laguna Beach, California, overlooking the Pacific ocean with the sunset peeking through the clouds. The reception was held just above the shore at The Cliff Restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway. All of the guys wore Converse with pink laces and the guests were all given a pair of flip flops – cute! East Side Mario’s catered and photography was by Charla Blue Photography. The evening had a very small, cozy feel. Everything was decorated in fuschia and black, including their ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book. There was lots of crazy fun in the photo booth, and dancing all night long. After dinner guests helped themselves to the candy bar and took home bags of candy favors, and they noshed on a variety of yummy desserts. All the fun is our ShutterYou event gallery!

Eddie & Jessica – The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, Riverside, CA

Eddie and Jessica were married in the Cathedral of the old, majestic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California. SoCal ShutterBooth was happy to create tons of fun at their reception in the Music Room and The DJay Company spun tunes and provided lighting for the event. Everything was done in red, back, and cream looking romantic and classy. Design for Less Events helped Jessica with coordination of the big day and Paul from Cean One Photography captured the night on film and provided a guest book with photos of the couple and places to sign on each page. Amanda Catalfo of Fiori Wedding Co created beautiful, simplistic florals. We had the ShutterBooth photo booth set up in the bar and cocktail area and everyone had a blast. We brought out props for last 3 hours of the 6 hour shoot and the guests could hardly wait for them! We turned out a fun scrapbook guest book for the newlyweds that they LOVED. Serra Catholic School Anchor Ball – Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, CA

Serra Catholic School held their annual Anchor Ball at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California right in the heart of Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Resort area. Parents of students came in the hundreds to support the school, bid on silent and live auction items, dine, and dance. Auction items ranged from the coveted VIP parking spot at the school, to handmade art by the students, to fun activities with the teachers like movie and ice cream day. SoCal ShutterBooth had fun getting parents and administrators in the photo booth sporting fun props!

Bon Appetit Catering Tasting – University of Redlands, Redlands, CA

University of Redlands very own Bon Appetit Catering held an elite tasting event at the Casa Loma Room on the beautiful campus. Brides, grooms, their families, and other Bon Appetit clients who have upcoming events at the University of Redlands sampled featured catering menu selections, champagne and wine. The food was scrumptious! Everything from a carving station, Tuscan risotto bar, beet and bleu cheese salad with dijon vinaigrette, scalloped sweet potatoes with gruyere cheese, eggplant crepes, designer cupcakes, and much more. Our mouths watered reading through the Bon Appetit Catering Menu. They offer a very large menu with lots of variety and unique combinations cooked to perfection. Bon Appetit Catering clients are in great hands with the Director of Catering, Jessica Arthur, who has a long history of experience in the event world. She’s a easy and a pleasure to work with.

SoCal ShutterBooth hosted our photo booth at the tasting event, treating guests to their turn with the photo booth fun! They enjoyed looking at our save the date magnets, ShutterBooth scrapbook guest books, table cards, and oodles of samples. DJ PJ Hyland set the tone with some tunes and Elaborate Floral Design provided florals for event. Bon Appetit has an extensive collection of linens on display and decorating the room in creamy oranges and pink. Chiavari chairs were provided by JZ’s Party Charm, who offers a laundry list of party rentals including candelabras, china, flatware, dance floors, canopies, heaters, and decorative props. Michelle Smith Photography, a preferred vendor of Bon Appetit Catering, was on hand to help couples with their photography needs. We had a lot of fun interacting with the guests and other vendors, showing them what the ShutterBooth experience is all about. Last night, we SoCal Shutterers happened upon an industry workshop at The London West Hollywood Hotel and an angel came to us. If luck was a snake it would have jumped up and bit us in the face! Aflac Iron Girl 5K/10K Run and Walk – Del Mar, CA

AFLAC!!! Says the duck! We all know the commercials, right? SoCal ShutterBooth was 3 photo booths deep at the 4th annual Aflac IronGirl 5K/10K Run and Walk in Del Mar at the fairgrounds just outside the racetracks last Saturday. Bright and early, the races started at 7:30am and we were there for some photo booth fun after the 3,000 women finished the event.

Held on Mother’s Day weekend, it was a fun day of awards and giveaways to help honor the moms. Many teams were mother-daughter teams and they ranged from first-timers to the uber-experienced. The Iron Girl Run and Walks are designed for all levels to reach their personal best. There were some fun team names, like “The Spring Chickens” and “Happy Feet.”

Along with the ShutterBooth photo booth, there was a post-race breakfast cafe, performance shirts, professional timing, personalized race bibs, custom finisher medals, TriClique jewelry age group awards, results stations, reusable totes, a commemorative Aflac Iron Girl plush duck, talking stuffed animal, Aflac sponges, Muscle Milk Light, and a pretty carnation for every participant. There were even Aflac duck rub-on tatoos! The best part is that ticket sale proceeds benefited the cause of pediatric cancer research at the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

THE OC Breast Cancer Fundraiser – Hyatt Regency Pavillion, Irvine, CA

The highly-anticipated 7th Annual OC Breast Cancer Fundraiser was PINK! No, wait it was ALIVE! No, wait it was A HUGE SUCCESS! Yes, it was all of the above. SoCal ShutterBooth was privileged to be a sponsor of the event, put on by Kapture. Put your hands together for Nilo G and Lena V who made this night of entertainment, philanthropy, fashion, and music all the fabulousity that it was.

With the goal of raising $20,000 for the Orange County affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, this soiree drew in hundreds of young professionals motivated to join the cause. The Pavilion was drenched in pink lighting and illuminated by the lounge furniture of Izanagi Designs. As they arrived, supporters walked the step & repeat and were treated to a cocktail hour where Kristen Meadors sang her heart out and played the piano.

A unique, still-model fashion show introduced the latest line from Holly Morgan Designs. The models were gorg and glammed up by Salon Success. All the while, guests sipped on pink themed cocktails and got the 6000 square foot white-turned-pink tent in celebration mode.

As the fun got started, guests made their way around the tent treating their mouths to the Sugarbird candy bar, their eyes to Martha Martin‘s painting collections, their ears to the high-energy beats spun by DJ Jace One, and their senses to the ShutterBooth photo booth. We had pink props and more pink props! We would describe this experience as way too much fun. They all loved their photo strip keepsakes and we saw many faces come back more than a few times (which we love)! OC Party Pics and LovinLife Multimedia photographed the event.

Perhaps the most important part of the evening fell on a hushed crowd and centered on raising awareness, tributes to local breast cancer fighters and survivors, and messages of the cause. Looking forward to an even pinker, bigger, better fundraiser in 2011 for the 8th year in a row!

Dove Canyon Country Club Bridal Open House – Dove Canyon, CA

SoCal ShutterBooth was honored to participate in Dove Canyon Country Club‘s Bridal Open House on what turned out to be a beautiful, sunny SoCal day! This complimentary bridal show gave brides and their families time to mingle with Dove Canyon’s preferred vendors in a relaxed and elegant setting.

Tray passed hors d’oeuvres and beverages were provided by Dove Canyon Country Club, as well as an ice sculpture shrimp bar, and there were lots of other goodies to eat from various vendors. Boardwalk Ice Cream Co. impressed with hand-dipped vanilla ice cream bars, first bathed in chocolate and then coated in your choice of toppings. We can tell you first hand that they are delicious! Candee by Sandee created one of their infamous candy bars with a tropical, colorful theme and Rockwell’s Creative Gourmet Cakes, home of the original white chocolate curl cake, rocked some exquisite cake designs. It’s All About the Cake had bite size delicacies and cake pops, the latest craze in event desserts.

The reception area had an assortment of table arrangements by different vendors and florists. Some striking linens were showcased by CoverUps by Florencia, Classic Party Rentals (ask about their chameleon chairs), and Fusion Linens. Stunning florals were displayed by the very creative Jen K Floral Design, Designs by Tricia, and Reher’s Mission Florist & Gifts. Rounding out the resources for brides were Happy Photos photography, Invisible Touch DJ, Lighting, and Event Production, Carcano DJ, and Carolyn Shapiro of By Invitation Events among many others including formal wear, custom bridal gowns, all the way to mobile tanning services.

Brides thought ShutterBooth was a hoot and loved posing in our photo booth with our bride and groom props. They were in love with our ShutterBooth scrapbook guest books and save the date magnets.
