Trent’s Paradise Party was a lively, fun bash at The Hills Clubhouse at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course in Anaheim Hills, California.  Make-A-Wish created a dream-come-true celebration for Trent, his family, and friends. Everything was tropical and colorful for the Cheeseburger in Paradise theme. Tables were decorated in bright-colored linens with coconut, starfish, flip-flop, and hibiscus centerpieces. Bob Gail Special Events donated beach-themed props, like beach huts, palm trees, surf boards, banners, and special lighting.

Rockwell’s Creative Cakes made Trent a custom cake that looked like a humongous cheeseburger on a bed of french fries and as if one cake was not enough, a family friend created another cake that looked like a huge cheeseburger and she got creative using brownies as the meat patty!   The mood was set by a fantastic, talented caribbean music group called U-B Jammin, who played on steel drums and took us away to the islands. Brian Flores of Galaxy Classic Distribution emceed the event and played tunes when the band wasn’t playing.  Trent arrived in a limo and when he walked into the party he was given a warm welcome with a standing ovation! The great photographers of Mystic Lake Photography donated their services to capture the fun, excitement, and love moment by moment.

Guests munched on finger foods like mini sliders and chicken skewers. We were so happy to donate our SoCal ShutterBooth photo booth to help make Trent’s with come true.  We had a ton of fun mingling with guests and creating his scrapbook guest book and bookmarks.  Our tropical props were a big hit!  You can view the fabulously FUN photos in our ShutterYou event gallery.

The highly-anticipated 7th Annual OC Breast Cancer Fundraiser was PINK!  No, wait it was ALIVE!  No, wait it was A HUGE SUCCESS! Yes, it was all of the above. SoCal ShutterBooth was privileged to be a sponsor of the event, put on by Kapture.  Put your hands together for Nilo G and Lena V who made this night of entertainment, philanthropy, fashion, and music all the fabulousity that it was.

With the goal of raising $20,000 for the Orange County affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, this soiree drew in hundreds of young professionals motivated to join the cause.  The Pavilion was drenched in pink lighting and illuminated by the lounge furniture of  Izanagi Designs.  As they arrived, supporters walked the step & repeat and were treated to a cocktail hour where Kristen Meadors sang her heart out and played the piano.

A unique, still-model fashion show introduced the latest line from Holly Morgan Designs.  The models were gorg and glammed up by Salon Success.  All the while, guests sipped on pink themed cocktails and got the 6000 square foot white-turned-pink tent in celebration mode.

As the fun got started, guests made their way around the tent treating their mouths to the Sugarbird candy bar, their eyes to Martha Martin‘s painting collections, their ears to the high-energy beats spun by DJ Jace One, and their senses to the ShutterBooth photo booth. We had pink props and more pink props!  We would describe this experience as way too much fun.  They all loved their photo strip keepsakes and we saw many faces come back more than a few times (which we love)!  OC Party Pics and LovinLife Multimedia photographed the event.

Perhaps the most important part of the evening fell on a hushed crowd and centered on raising awareness, tributes to local breast cancer fighters and survivors, and messages of the cause.  Looking forward to an even pinker, bigger, better fundraiser in 2011 for the 8th year in a row!

ShutterBooth was lucky enough (pun intended) to participate in the 7th annual Boys & Girls Club of Brea, Placentia, and Yorba Linda’s popular St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser at the Yorba Linda Community Center.  A crowd of over 350 people in green packed the place, raising more than $20,000 for the organization’s operations benefiting youth programs in the local community.

Heather Steves, Director of Special Events, put together a fun, wildly successful event and she was very pleased with the turnout.  Guests enjoyed an evening with appetizers and goodies from Stefano’s Golden Baked Hams, an all-you-can-eat traditional Irish dinner compliments of Canyon Catering, pasta from California Pizza Kitchen, Irish and domestic beers from BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, whiskey tastings, live music by The Fenians, karaoke, ShutterBooth’s photo booth with all the St. Patrick’s day props, foosball, and a silent auction.  The party was hopping until the clocked chimed midnight and then everyone turned into leprechauns!  Fun night, fun photos in our ShutterYou event gallery.

The 4th annual Cox Community Golf Tournament at the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club sold out with 255 golfers teeing it up to raise $75,000 for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, which offers critical assistance to men and women injured in the line of duty and helps families cope the financial hardships they face on the road to recovery. SoCal ShutterBooth was honored to be a sponsor and to partake in the fun festivities both on and off the course at the 1st hole on the South Course, the snack shack on the North Course, and the dinner reception that followed.

With 40 Marines, military vehicles from Camp Pendleton, and a couple of the cast members from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” on location, Cox Cares, a nonprofit foundation set up by Cox Communications, organized a very successful event. Two Marine helicopters flew over the course and landed on the driving range during the opening ceremonies.  The cocktail party and dinner reception were kicked off with the Cox Cares Helicopter Ball Drop where participants had the chance to win $2,000 by purchasing $10 golf balls that were dropped from high in the sky over the 18th hole.

Our ShutterBooth photo booth was the source of much fun, lots of smiles, and some hearty laughs! SoCal ShutterBooth is proud and honored to announce that we will be taking part in the Project Cuddle fundraising event, 2010 Dinner by the Bay, on March 6, 2010 at the Long Beach Hilton in Long Beach, California.  This year, Dinner by the Bay will be hosted by a longtime friend of Project Cuddle, John Stamos, who is the National Spokesman for the organization. Guests will spend the evening dining, dancing, taking turns in the ShutterBooth photo booth, and most importantly saving lives. Set against the backdrop of the Long Beach skyline, the Long Beach Hilton is the perfect place to host this annual event.

With a fun-filled Aloha theme, we’re sure to see some spirited hawaiian clothing.  The Surf City All-Stars, a crowd favorite, will be taking over the stage as in years past.  The evening kicks off with a silent auction full of gift baskets, weekend getaways, spa packages, dinner/hotel gift certificates, and tons of other gifts for men, women, and a large assortment of baby items. All proceeds benefit Project Cuddle and their life-saving cause of stopping baby abandonment.

Since it’s inception in 1996, Project Cuddle has saved over 665 babies from the fate of abandonment, or worse. All of this is the awe-inspiring result of one woman’s crusade to help prevent infants from being abandoned.  Tragically, babies are being abandoned across the nation on a daily basis. With a commitment to ending baby abandonment, Project Cuddle provides a future for unwanted, abandoned, or drug-exposed babies and a safe haven for frightened mothers to turn to in crisis.  Our photo booth is ready to put the FUN in FUNdraising to help such a loving, noble cause.  Stay tuned for the event gallery.

SoCal ShutterBooth is ECSTATIC to support the Down Syndrome Assocation of Orange County’s (DSAOC) by participating in the Sixth Annual Red Carpet Ball for teens and adults with Down Syndrome.  Don’t be late for a very important date!  ”Adventures in Wonderland” will take place on the evening of February 27, 2010.  Guests are instructed to follow the white rabbit to the Doubletree Hotel in Santa Ana, California. DSAOC is a wonderful organization that empowers people with Down Syndrome to reach their full potential.   They offer a wide spectrum of interactive services including seminars, events, support groups, and community outreach.  We look forward to seeing the smiles on their faces, and to supporting DSAOC in the future.  Check back after the event to see all the fun photos in our ShutterYou event gallery and to read our blog.

At UCLA in Los Angeles, California REVO LA held an interactive, chart-topping benefit art show to raise money for “Sekolah Dasar Balem Wamena” (SDBW), a model school, which has recently become a light of hope in the corrupt regions of West Papua, Indonesia. Nina Brav, whose brainchild is REVO – a charity organization for humanitarian groups – orchestrated the wildly successful event and surpassed REVO’s fundraising goals. YEAH!!!

Nina is a photographer by day, and a phenomenon by night, having been to more countries than her current age and counting. She’s out to change the world, this girl! The event showcased local artists, hosting a multimedia art show featuring the work of over 20 painters, graphic designers, visual artists, and photographers. There were listening stations, books, shirts donated by American Apparel and silk screened on site by Acrylick , education, music by DJ Dustin Ames of Elastic Wax, a live tattoo artist, a model photo shoot, and a revolving door of more than 800 people who came to support the cause. The SoCal ShutterBooth photo booth line was literally out the door and we left feeling TRULY inspired. Perhaps we’ll start our own REVOlution! Have fun strolling through the event gallery.

REVO is a verb meaning to love with all your art.  It is a movement rooted in the concept of LOVE with a goal of heightening awareness of West Papua, Indonesia’s broken school system.
