Paige’s Bat Mitzvah was adorable! Paige’s passion in life is dancing and her centerpieces were dress forms wearing her actual costumes from past dance performances. You can see some of them in the blog photos.  Lavender and purple were her color theme.  No detail was spared!  The celebration was held at the Westlake Village Inn in Westlake Village, California, overlooking the lake and golf course.  Rock Star Event Entertainment helped the kiddos party like rock stars with special lighting and their DJ and MC services.  Bellies were filled with a tasty buffet dinner and fried desserts, like mini donuts, from The Fry Girl. Tattoo Kool added a special touch by doing hand-painted temporary tattoos and we were there with the ShutterBooth photo booth to catch all the fun, spontaneous moments.  They rocked the props in their photos and did a wonderful job creating Paige’s ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book!   Paige’s fun party can be seen in our ShutterYou event gallery.

Jin and Brad made it official with a romantic ceremony at the beautiful Santa Anita Church in Arcadia, California. Their reception followed at the Embassy Suites in Arcadia, where friends and family gathered ready to eat, drink and be merry…or should we say MARRY! Jin’s family came all the way from Korea to celebrate this special day together. Brothers Photography and Couture Cinema were there to catch the love on film.

After a white wedding, the phenomenal Kristeen LaBrot of Kristeen LaBrot Events created a red reception with touches of ivory, cream and black. Red being Jin’s favorite color, it was the only way to go!  MD’s Florist created lush bouquets with ivory and red roses. The candy bar was full of yummy treats in, of course, reds, black, whites, and silver and so was the cake by Frederico’s Bakery. Jin wore ivory heels by Chinese Laundry for her ceremony and slipped into a pair of white, platform flip flops so she could shake her booty and boogie the night away on the dance floor to music by DJ Debonaire! She went the extra mile for her man wearing a KC Chiefs garter, in honor of his favorite team. The ShutterBooth photo booth was rocking and guests had tons of fun with the ShutterBooth scrapbook, which turned out fabulously in the bright shades of red! David and Cathleen walked down the aisle at their Knott’s Berry Farm wedding ceremony held in Knott’s beautiful, picturesque Church of Reflections, a historical non-denominational church just outside the park.  The reception followed at the Knott’s Resort Hotel.  David and Cathleen are genuinely sweet, loving people who deserve nothing but the best life has to offer!  Some receptions leave an impression, and this was one of them.  The amount of love and heartfelt, kind words expressed for the newlyweds was abundant.  The stories of Cathleen’s childhood were cute and touching.  Her sister sang a few songs to the couple and their guests, the ShutterBooth photo booth clicked away, and everyone was treated to Knott’s Berry Farm’s famous comfort food…..gotta love that Knott’s fried chicken! Orange County Mining Co., perched high in the Orange Hills of Santa Ana, California, held it’s Spring Bridal Show that kicked off with a live wedding ceremony. Orange County Mining Co. is a restaurant reminiscent of the underground mining days that is famous for its panoramic views of the city lights.  It offers couples banquet hall locations for their ceremony and reception.

The Spring Bridal Show was attended by couples with upcoming weddings already booked at the venue, and those interested.  They sampled appetizers including mini quiche lorraine, fresh fruit, cheese blintzes, spanakopitas, cheese and crackers, and quenched their thirst at the mimosa bar.   It was a pleasure to meet the brides and their families, and to introduce them to the ShutterBooth experience.  Everyone has fun in the photo booth!   Other vendors included Fly by Night DJs, Ricardo Barrera Photography & Video, Blush Garters, The Pampered Chef, Lenny Holiday of In the Mood DJ Service, and Petals by Xavi.   See the photo booth pics in our ShutterYou event gallery.

ShutterBooth was lucky enough (pun intended) to participate in the 7th annual Boys & Girls Club of Brea, Placentia, and Yorba Linda’s popular St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser at the Yorba Linda Community Center.  A crowd of over 350 people in green packed the place, raising more than $20,000 for the organization’s operations benefiting youth programs in the local community.

Heather Steves, Director of Special Events, put together a fun, wildly successful event and she was very pleased with the turnout.  Guests enjoyed an evening with appetizers and goodies from Stefano’s Golden Baked Hams, an all-you-can-eat traditional Irish dinner compliments of Canyon Catering, pasta from California Pizza Kitchen, Irish and domestic beers from BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, whiskey tastings, live music by The Fenians, karaoke, ShutterBooth’s photo booth with all the St. Patrick’s day props, foosball, and a silent auction.  The party was hopping until the clocked chimed midnight and then everyone turned into leprechauns!  Fun night, fun photos in our ShutterYou event gallery.

The Pasadena Convention Center on the well-known Green Street in beautiful Pasadena, California was buzzing with brides at the BrideWorld Expo.  Over 150 vendors from the Greater Los Angeles area lined aisle-after-aisle with wedding products and services.  The Runway Fashion Show was off the hook!  Brides screaming, cheering and applauding for their chance to win an exotic Fijian honeymoon.  Helping brides envision how ShutterBooth can offer their guests a unique experience at their wedding gives us a lot to smile about.  Our save the date magnets, table cards, bookmarks, and especially our scrapbook guest book get lots of ooh’s and aah’s.  They are always surprised to see that we offer so much more than just a photo booth service!  We had a blast and they did too.  You can see the fun in our ShutterYou event gallery.

Dwayne and Judy exchanged rings in a church ceremony, then headed to the Long Beach Petroleum Club, founded in 1953 as Long Beach’s premier social club. They celebrated at the reception with over 300 friends and family members, and the largest wedding party we’ve seen. There were about 30 of them! We set a personal record for the most photo strips per hour at their event. That’ll tell you how excited the guests were to play in the ShutterBooth photo booth. From the minute they walked in the door, until the last guest left the reception ShutterBooth had a line! Their ShutterBooth scrapbook was decorated in turquoise and chocolate brown, the colors of their wedding. It was a night full of good energy and love. The 4th annual Cox Community Golf Tournament at the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club sold out with 255 golfers teeing it up to raise $75,000 for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, which offers critical assistance to men and women injured in the line of duty and helps families cope the financial hardships they face on the road to recovery. SoCal ShutterBooth was honored to be a sponsor and to partake in the fun festivities both on and off the course at the 1st hole on the South Course, the snack shack on the North Course, and the dinner reception that followed.

With 40 Marines, military vehicles from Camp Pendleton, and a couple of the cast members from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” on location, Cox Cares, a nonprofit foundation set up by Cox Communications, organized a very successful event. Two Marine helicopters flew over the course and landed on the driving range during the opening ceremonies.  The cocktail party and dinner reception were kicked off with the Cox Cares Helicopter Ball Drop where participants had the chance to win $2,000 by purchasing $10 golf balls that were dropped from high in the sky over the 18th hole.

Our ShutterBooth photo booth was the source of much fun, lots of smiles, and some hearty laughs! Ana and Miguel said “I do” at The Castaway Restaurant and Banquet Center in Burbank, California, located high above the city in the Burbank hills overlooking De Bell Golf Course. With the help of class-act wedding planner, Desiree Russo, they transformed the ballroom into a masterpiece of chocolate hues and deep, bright pink colors with manzanita and rose centerpieces by Rosa Ruiz at Silk Designs. Stunning photography was done by Michael and Maggie of Forever True Photography and Cesar Elas of DJ Music Unlimited kept the beats going.

Guests had a great time in the ShutterBooth photo booth, getting dressed up with silly props, signing messages to Ana and Miguel in their ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book, and taking their photos home in our ShutterBooth acrylic frames and bookmark sleeves!
