Shady Canyon Golf Club held a member’s only Casino Party at their private 53,000 square foot main club house in the hills of Irvine, California. Thanks to The Casino Company, partiers got to try their hand at Vegas style gaming from blackjack to poker. Later in the fun-filled evening, winners bid their chips at an auction full of prizes. SoCal ShutterBooth was another fun pit stop at the event, giving everyone a chance to take  home some silly, spontaneous photos of themselves. It’s official….announcing the Carli newlyweds!  Bryan & Katrina pledged their vows outside the University of Redlands Administration Building, with an oasis-like backdrop of a quarter-mile stretch of lush greenery leading to Memorial Chapel with the picturesque San Bernardino Mountains beyond.  Their reception followed under a big, white canopy outside the Alumni House with everything decorated in oranges, creams, chocolate brown, and cedar green.  The tables were lit by candlelight with crystal candle holders and the florals were designed with orange cymbidium orchids, orange colored roses, ivory roses, and green button mums. The delicious food was catered by the exclusive and award-winning Bon Appetit.  They had old, framed photos of their parents’ weddings on the cake table…what a cute, personal idea!  SoCal ShutterBooth entertained their guests with photo booth fun and their ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book.  For all the fun photos, check out the ShutterYou event gallery.

Spencer’s rock n’ roll Bar Mitzvah was nothing but a good time at Park Prive in Costa Mesa, California. Every table was decorated in black and turquoise with 3 feet high guitar replica centerpieces that had different rock stars and rock groups names on them…like Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N Roses, and Metallica. They were all custom-made and pretty spectacular!

Crush Photo Studios was on hand, photographing all the fun. Taking over three connecting rooms at the venue, Spencer’s party had a little something for everybody. The adults had cocktails, dined, and mingled in the sit-down dining area, where the ceremonial portions of the evening also took place. Another room was transformed into a dark, club atmosphere with a dance floor, custom lighting, cocktail tables, and DJ’s Vaughn and Craig of Feet First Event Entertainment.

The third room was where the ShutterBooth photo booth rocked all night long with tons of fun props, and where the kids dove into Spencer’s candy bar full of jelly beans, rock candy, and chocolate. The kids had a great time signing Spencer’s ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book, and by the end of the night the adults were in on the fun too!  SoCal ShutterBooth had fun rocking out with everyone and you can catch it all in our ShutterYou event gallery.

The Hayward ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena, California. After their ceremony in the extraordinary setting of the Horseshoe Garden, with perfectly manicured lawns and palm studded slopes, guests continued the celebration at The Viennese Ballroom and Terrace with cocktails and a dinner reception. To give you a sense of the ambiance, the ornate ballroom boasts astonishing chandeliers made in the 1930′s by the same atlier who created the fantasy castle of Ludwig II, the Mad King of Bavaria.

Brandyn and Melanie’s gorgeous wedding was orchestrated by Rebecca Calagna of Rebecca Calagna Events, who also made their wedding invitations and created a scrumptious candy buffet with candy in their wedding colors of green, chocolate brown, cream, and gold.  Some amazing vendors helped make this dream wedding come to life: DJ Carlos Valadez of Amaze Productions Entertainment, lighting by G2 Audio and Lighting, linens and chair rentals by Fusion Linens, flowers by Jenny B Floral Design, lounge furniture by Designer8 Furniture Rental, live mariachi music by Trio Ellas, and photo booth services by none other than…SoCal ShutterBooth!

Florals were out of this world with orchids, hydrangeas, spider mums, roses, berries, and stalks in shades of orange, green, and white.  A couple arrangements that caught our eye were long, rectangular boxes covered in chocolate satin ribbon, filled with vibrant wheat grass and colorful gerbera daisies growing out of them.  White lounge furniture with mirrored tables, candles in glass hurricanes, and mokara orchids added a modern touch to the cocktail hour on the terrace.

The ShutterBooth photo booth was a smash hit, giving lots of laughs and giggles.  Guests had a blast with the ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book and our bookmark sleeves to take their photos home in.  Hats off to Rebecca for creating such a personal, fun, beautiful wedding! David and Michelle, better known to those who love them as Dave and Missy, were married at the Coyote Hills Country Club in Fullerton, California in an outdoor ceremony as the sun set. The eggplant and lavender wedding colors looked stunning against the overhead trellis of blooming, purple wisteria. This was a special event for SoCal ShutterBooth because Dave was a student and colleague of Cheryl’s, giving her the chance to reconnect with lots of old faces as they rocked the photo booth and signed the ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book! ShutterBooth also created Dave and Missy’s table cards in our original photo strip frames that guests take home with their photos.

Shades of lavender flowers were done by M’s Flowers and there was LOTS of dancing at the reception.  Allan Layton of AAA DJ Service kept the dance floor going strong. Michelle’s father-daughter dance was to the Beatles’ song “Michelle,” the same song she and her dad danced to on a cruise after her graduation when he told her, “The next time I dance with you to this song it will be your wedding.”  There were lots of happy tears when he told this sweet story to the wedding guests. Dave and Missy are both teachers, so they escaped for a spring break honeymoon to Cancun at the Excellence Riviera Cancun. Donations made at this month’s event benefited the Assistance League of Fullerton (ALPHA).  Local vendors included yours truly…SoCal ShutterBooth, Brownstone Cafe & Catering, Lavenders Flowers, Patty’s Cakes, Studio EMP, Di: Amore Gift Boutique, Allen’s Tuxedos & Formal Wear, and Salon Patrice. Above The Top Events put together a 13th birthday bash for Larissa with everything from a neon, black-lit lounge, a custom Club 13 step and repeat, red capet entrance, smoothie bar, to a full-blown concert! DJ Cool Whip, one of Hollywood’s most sought after DJs whose rotating residencies include hot spots Les Deux, Kress, and Giesha House, Audio Push, who is responsible for the fast-rising “jerk” movement, and Shwayze with Cisco Adler, who have hit the Billboard Hot 100 and are the focus on MTVs show Buzzin’, entertained the partiers as they sipped on fresh smoothies from the smoothie bar and munched on bite size sliders, hot dogs, nachos, and other finger foods.

Whether they were hanging out in the tented lounge area decorated with neon pink, yellow, and green tables and chairs or dancing their tails off in front of the stage, they were having fun and lots of it! The SoCal ShutterBooth photo booth was rocking in the Club 13 lounge and everyone got their turn.  Shutter Shades in every color were scattered around on cocktail tables, so just about everyone was wearing a pair.  The ShutterBooth saw lots of ShutterShadeWearers tonight! Join the fight, be pink, and attend the 7th Annual OC Breast Cancer Fundraiser this Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 7pm at the Hyatt Regency Pavillion in Irvine, California. There will be a fashion show, food, drinks, dancing, and entertainment. Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to the OC Affiliate of Susan G. ShutterBooth had another great time spreading the fun at Matt and Kristine’s wedding at the Ontario Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California. The uber-creative Cristina Barragan of Unforgettable Events covered every detail, from linens to lighting and flowers.  The reception was decorated in chocolate brown, golds, and touches of Aruba blue.  Guests had a blast with our ShutterBooth props and signing the ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book! Jesse and Nicole’s love extravaganza was the most unique wedding we’ve been to!  Words to describe it would include punk rock, vintage, colorful, and alive. Following an outdoor ceremony, where their daughter was the flower girl toting a peacock-feathered basket , the reception was held at the El Camino Country Club in Oceanside, California. Nicole created all of her own centerpieces: peacock and black ostrich feathers exploding from tall, black glass cylinders. She also made her own headpiece that turned out beautifully with an antique white net veil, white ostrich feather, and flower.  She finished it off with a white ostrich feather vest over her wedding gown.

They treated guests to chocolate and strawberry fountains with lots of yummy goodies for dipping…strawberries, marshmallows, and banana slices to name a few.  Jesse and Nicole’s cake topper and toasting glasses were themed in Dia de los Muertos, and looked great with the black wedding cake and cute cupcakes in black and white polka dot wrappers.

Nicole bought red clown nose and Groucho Marx glasses as disguises for everyone to wear in the ShutterBooth photo booth and had them take a photo in disguise, and one without. We shot black and white photos to capture the vintage feel. Her ShutterBooth scrapbook guest book was gorgeous with all of the black and white photos mixed in with the embellishments in her jewel tone colors – turquoise, purple, magenta, chartreuse green. Her ShutterBooth table cards were also chartreuse and black, with a funky, fun font and a peacock feather accent.  Having fun surfing this one in our ShutterYou event gallery!
