Aflac Iron Girl 5K/10K Run and Walk – Del Mar, CA

AFLAC!!!  Says the duck!  We all know the commercials, right? SoCal ShutterBooth was 3 photo booths deep at the 4th annual Aflac IronGirl 5K/10K Run and Walk in Del Mar at the fairgrounds just outside the racetracks last Saturday.  Bright and early, the races started at 7:30am and we were there for some photo booth fun after the 3,000 women finished the event.

Held on Mother’s Day weekend, it was a fun day of awards and giveaways to help honor the moms. Many teams were mother-daughter teams and they ranged from first-timers to the uber-experienced. The Iron Girl Run and Walks are designed for all levels to reach their personal best.  There were some fun team names, like “The Spring Chickens” and “Happy Feet.”

Along with the ShutterBooth photo booth, there was a post-race breakfast cafe, performance shirts, professional timing, personalized race bibs, custom finisher medals, TriClique jewelry age group awards, results stations, reusable totes, a commemorative Aflac Iron Girl plush duck, talking stuffed animal, Aflac sponges, Muscle Milk Light, and a pretty carnation for every participant.  There were even Aflac duck rub-on tatoos!  The best part is that ticket sale proceeds benefited the cause of pediatric cancer research at the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
