Paul & Gabriela – [seven-degrees], Laguna Beach, CA
Paul and Gabriela became one love in front of friends and family Saturday night at [seven-degrees] in Laguna Beach, California. [seven-degrees] is a 2008/2009 pick of The Knot Best of Weddings and this wedding was a true testament. As their website describes, the venue “was developed as a forward thinking, multi purpose ‘idea lab’ for the promotion of artistic endeavor, invention and exhibition…with the primary goal of…incorporating the creation and exhibition of original artwork with an innovative event venue.” The outdoor ceremony took place at an upper level terrace on the hillside of Laguna Canyon, in a tented area strewn with red rose petals, red florals, and white, paper lantern globes. Gabriela’s bridesmaids dazzled in a rich, cardinal red. The reception was unbelievable, with red uplighting, crystals, icicles, and snowflake art hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. It was a red winter wonderland.
Magnolia’s Floral Design created unbelievable centerpieces dripping with red and deep pink roses, carnations, hydrangeas, gladiolas, lilies, and orchids to name a few. Candles lit the room with a warm glow, floating in tall vases and scattered across the tables. Everything was swimming in pools of red rose petals with glistening crystals. The reception became a dance club, with everything from traditional Spanish and Mexican anthems to traditional Jewish music and today’s top hits. The gourmet cuisine was among the best. Paul and Gabriela come from very loving, supportive families who cherish them deeply and this was evident to all as their mothers, fathers, siblings, and best friends gave heartfelt toasts throughout the evening.
The energy was high and nobody wanted the party to stop! The SoCal Shutterbooth photo booth is no stranger to fun, and their guests were taking it to the top. Paul and Gabriela’s ShutterBooth scrapbook was made with love, love, and more love. When midnight rolled around they decided to keep the party going for another hour.
