Studio 1053…Our New Home!

ShutterBooth Utah has found a new home! We are proud to be a part of the Studio 1053 crew in the heart of Sugar House at 1053 East 2100 South. Studio 1053 is home to four extremely talented and well known companies here in Utah: ZumaPhoto, Culinary Crafts - the Salt Lake annex, Sprout Photo, and PixelWhipped.

This studio is the perfect creative atmosphere for meeting with clients and showing off the photo booth. One of our photo booths will be set up in the studio for clients and perspective clients to test drive and experience the fun.

Here is a quick glimpse of each of our new “roommates”:

ZumaPhoto is a collective of three highly experienced photographers with three distinct styles and one shared passion for telling stories. Specifically, stories about relationships.  The three photographers are: Mitchell Burt – Founder and managing partner of ZumaPhoto, Logan Walker, and Heidi Ann. Sure they make cool/edgy/hip images, but they feel that a photo can and should do something more than just record what you look like – it should say something about who you are. To do this, they look for natural, dynamic, and genuine moments that happen of their own accord. Sometimes this means a purely photojournalistic approach, and other times a more interactive and playful session to find the best you there is!

Culinary Crafts is Utah’s only 7 time Best of State Caterer, and has been catering for 26 years throughout Utah and the surrounding states. They create events and customize venues to fit just about every need imaginable. Whether you need catering for a corporate convention for thousands, a wedding or holiday party for a few hundred, or a social occasion for your family and friends, Culinary Crafts has the resources and expertise to provide flawless service and restaurant quality food. Known throughout Utah as the preferred caterer for many venues in Park City, Salt Lake City, Orem and Provo, Culinary Crafts can help you locate the perfect place for your event. Serving all of Utah, Culinary Crafts is the caterer to choose for creative ideas backed by award-winning service and cuisine.

Sprout Photo specializes in contemporary child, maternity & family portraiture, both in-studio and ‘on-location’ in their client’s natural habitat. By ‘contemporary’ they mean that they are principally concerned with capturing their subject’s personality, rather than merely a likeness. Elaborate poses, ornate backgrounds and other baroque distractions common to classical portraiture are done away within order to interact with and focus on their subjects. The resulting images are genuine, honest and meaningful, and it turns out that this approach is more fun for their subjects, too!

PixelWhipped was created to serve as an alternative to the large, faceless image editing, graphic design, and album design companies that are in the market today.  PixelWhipped offers personalized, efficient, and high quality services that are tailor fit to our individual clients and their needs.

We are excited to join this wonderful group of vendors in Sugar House, and look forward to working with our clients in this great new space. We will still be operating out of Park City as well, to accommodate our clients there and the surrounding areas. Stop by for a visit and try out the photo booth.  We would love to have you!

Gala benefit to celebrate Women’s Ski Jumping
New ticket price this year as a special thank you

Park City, June 23, 2011 — Join members of the Visa Women’s Ski Jumping Team for the annual Join the Journey benefit July 15 as they celebrate the recent news that women’s ski jumping will now be an event at the Olympic Winter Games.

On April 6, 2011, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that women’s ski jumping was added to the 2014 Winter Games program in Sochi, Russia. Ski jumping had been the only discipline in the Summer and Olympic Winter Games that did not allow women to compete.

These elite athletes can now officially follow their dreams and represent the U.S. in Sochi. Women’s Ski Jumping USA, the primary supporting organization for elite U.S. women ski jumpers, is hosting its annual gala benefit from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday, July 15 at a luxurious, $10 million private home in Glenwild, Park City.

The benefit invites supporters to “Join the Journey” as these women follow their dreams and make their historic march toward the 2014 Olympics, which will be the first gender-equal Games in Olympic history.

“Because of the IOC decision, countries are now putting more resources toward their women’s ski jumping teams and we can’t let the U.S. fall behind,” said Deedee Corradini, WSJ-USA president. Funds raised at the benefit help pay for the women’s coach, travel, and training expenses.

The Visa Women’s Ski Jumping Team is one of the top-ranked squads in the world and the next three years are crucial leading up to Sochi. Members of the team will participate in major international competitions including the 2013 World Championship in Val di Fiemme, Italy, and the inaugural World Cup circuit beginning in the 2011/2012 season.

As a special thank you to supporters and friends of women’s ski jumping, the event ticket price has been lowered this year to $150 per person, down from $200.

“We wanted to give back to the community of people who have given to us over the years. They have made a difference and we want this to be a great celebration,” said Beth Moon, event coordinator.

Highlights of the evening include “Around the World”-style gourmet food from the finest of Park City’s culinary scene; wine, beer and opening cocktails.

A live and silent auction that features unique and luxury items, amazing trips, ski equipment, and special memorabilia.

To purchase tickets go to www.wsjusa.com.
