Sara and Mike Robins – ShutterOwners


Sara and Mike Robins began managing ShutterBooth in April 2012 and are loving every minute of it!  They collaborate closely with clients and the entire ShutterTeam to ensure that every event is a success.  They actively participate in numerous industry organizations, including the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), the International Special Events Society (ISES) and the National Association of Catering & Events (NACE), for which Mike is the current President and former Treasurer  Sara previously worked in Human Resources and brings her direct experience as a former ShutterHost, Host Manager and Sales Rep to the ShutterTeam.  Mike offers nearly 20 years experience as an Operations Director for several technology firms.

Sara and Mike live in Ann Arbor with their two children, Maddie and Sam.  When away from the office, you’ll find them spending time with family, volunteering, exercising, reading and thinking of new ways to improve ShutterBooth!

Katie Gerst – Sales Manager

Katie heads up the Sales Department and assists clients in creating custom packages that fit their unique visions.  She truly understands that no two events are ever the same! When you call ShutterBooth, she will most likely be the first person you encounter. Katie originally started as a part-time ShutterHost and joined the full-time staff in 2016. She has a background in interpersonal relationships and family studies, so she loves interacting with our clients and learning more about them. When Katie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and DIY-ing.

Kyle Belcher – Event Manager


Born and raised in the Detroit Metro area – but with strong family ties in Kentucky and Virginia – Kyle is our master Event Manager.  With several years of experience as a ShutterHost, Kyle is well known for his close attention to detail and an obsessive fondness for organization.  When a client reserves their ShutterBooth, Kyle leads them through the planning process, including all the steps required for the successful execution of their event and beyond.  He also manages the daily activities of our office interns.  A graduate of Oakland University, Kyle has a passion for photography, design and outdoor activities.

Dan Lehner – Configuration Analyst


For most people, a passion for what you do translates to great work.  This is definitely true for Dan, our Configuration Analyst!   As an experienced ShutterHost, he understands that a properly prepared booth leads to a smooth event.   Dan configures each booth, creating all technical specifications based on the client’s needs, while also preparing the correct ink, paper, logo and other customized details.  Dan really enjoys time spent with his co-workers at ShutterBooth and the feeling is mutual. When not busy setting up the booths for that weekend’s events, you can find Dan somewhere out in nature swinging in his hammock.

Crystal Wolny – Graphic Designer


Won’t you breathe easier knowing that a veteran ShutterBooth team member has you covered?  Crystal can give you that confidence.  Once an energetic ShutterHost and a member of the Event Team, she now works tirelessly as our graphic designer.  With an education in photography and digital imaging, Crystal will help you personalize your event by creating unique and individual logos, tailored to your specifications – and answering any questions along the way. When it comes to curve balls, she can handle ‘em – her favorite part of working at ShutterBooth is having new experiences every day! When she isn’t busy, Crystal dreams about her ideal vacation: a luxurious cruise! Her rarest trait? She refuses to eat with a spoon!
