The room was filled with gold and creme colors, including accents of purple flowers as the centerpieces. CNBC held a promiment place at Alibaba’s recent Gateway ’17 at Cobo Center. A conference designed to connect U.S. entrenpeneurs with business opportunities in China, Gateway ’17 attracted more than 3,000 business owners. CNBC not only reported on the significant business news, but also encouraged attendees to audition for its Billion Dollar Buyer and The Profit reality shows. ShutterBooth collaborated with CNBC to offer its Open air VideoBooth, which allowed guests to pitch their ideas in two minutes or less. Traffic was heavy at times and inspirational, as a wide variety of entrepreneurs described their dreams for success.
Molly and Joe recently celebrated their marriage with friends and family at the Westin Book Cadillac. White and silver sparkles covered the room with string lights offering a warm glow. The bride and groom encouraged their guests to use the hashtag “#NameHerTramer”, which incorporates the groom’s last name. As soon as the live band played “PYT” by Michael Jackson, the dance floor filled up with guests. Berkley High School recently held their prom at the Lafayette Grande Banquet Facility. With foam lollipops, purple tables, and candy tables, you instantly felt as if you were in Willy Wonka. If you weren’t dancing to “Yeah” by Usher, you were probably getting your face painted by AFX. Instead of just a simple dinner before the dancing, there were fire breathers and fire twirlers performing during that time for all to enjoy.
