Lovesick Expo

We had so much fun this past weekend at the Lovesick Expo, an exclusive wedding expo for the indie-minded and cool at heart, held at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia!

It was a pleasure to meet all of the fun engaged couples as well as some amazing vendors.  Everyone had a great time with the Booth, enjoyed live music from West Philadelphia Orchestra, The Perseverance Jazz Band and The Unstoppable Hackbeats.  Among some of Philly’s coolest vendors were Ryan from You Toon, a personalized animated love story, Tom and Jennifer Mattera from Tree of Life Films, Janelle from Paisley Dog Press, and last but certainly not least, some of the coolest cinematographers and dj’s around, Tom and Jon from Hi-Society Productions.

Congratulations again to all the newly engaged couples!  Click here to check out the photos from ShutterBooth

Taste and Tour of the Countryside 2011!

Each year, we grow to love Taste and Tour of the Countryside even more.  This year was no exception, especially with the fun and festive Holiday theme!  Drexelbrook shined with glitter for New Year’s Eve, sparkled with flare for Fourth of July, oozed with spookiness for Halloween, and pumpkin-flavored everything for Thanksgiving!  Situated within the dessert Valentine’s Day section, we took advantage and transformed our ShutterBooth into none other than a Kissing Booth! Following suit, the ShutterBooth team was in high spirits, decked out in red, white and, of course, hearts.  Guests snacked on delicious treats and filled up on kisses in the Booth!

We can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

Fashion’s Night Out!

We had another great year celebrating one of our favorite new rituals.. Fashion’s Night Out!  This year, we celebrated fashion with none other than Neiman Marcus!  Guests were dressed in all the latest fashion, allowing for an extension of the choreographed, profession fashion show hosted by the store.  Donned not in a little black dress, but a just-as-suitable ShutterSkin, ShutterBooth looked great and very fashion chic.  Thanks to all the party-goers who stopped by to share a smile.. or a runway stance.. we had a blast!

The Best of Philly Party

So, we’ve been around to a few parties in our day, but this party will be remembered as one of our best.  Maybe it’s because of the totally hip, chic new venue by Cescaphe, Vie, or maybe it was because of all the happy, fun loving party-goers, or maybe it was because all of the Best Philadelphia has to offer was under one roof!  Either way, we can’t pick just one, although, that’s exactly what voters from around the city did in choosing Philadelphia Magazine’s 2011′s ‘Best Of’ list.

We were thrilled to be celebrating with all of the fine individuals and establishments that earned this most fantastic award.  We were especially pleased to see one of our favorite Philadelphia bands, Jellyroll, up on stage all night!  Guests literally boogied the night away, that is, when they weren’t enjoying one of the two ShutterBooths on site!  In fact, we are happy to report that ‘the best make-out spot’ was awarded to none other than photo booths!  To see who was kissing behind the curtain, check out the photos from the ShutterBooths at the event, here.

Christmas in July at Sesame Place!

We had a blast hanging out with Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert & Ernie and the rest of the gang yesterday during Sesame Place’s Christmas in July celebration!  We were able to get a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at the park and meet most of the cast.  The park was awesome.. a great playland for folks young and old!  We enjoyed a fabulous parade down Main Street and had a great time ShutterBoothing with all the fine folks.. even Oscar ;)   Here are a few photos from the event and you can click here to view photos from the Booth!

Jaime + Stephen = a match made in arboretum!

We had a great time celebrating with Jaime and Stephen as they shared their vows at the Tyler Arboretum

Surrounded by friends, family and gorgeous horticultural collections, Jaime and Stephen celebrated in a precious and intimate setting.  Naturally, Jaime and Stephen chose a green and yellow theme for their wedding reception.  Sunflowers and other wildflowers graced centerpieces, along with the mountain of wedding cake.

Here are some photos snapped during the event..

Frankie’s Quinceanera

Frankie’s Quinceanera was held at the magnificent Villa at Mountain Lakes.  We really got into the Paris spirit with the room spilling over with Eiffel Tower centerpieces and red and black decor.

With a scrapbook full of Eiffel Tower cut outs and girls zooming by on vespas, Frankie’s guests really enjoyed placing their photos inside and leaving messages for the birthday girl!  We had a wonderful time celebrating with Frankie and her guests and wish her all the best on her Quinceanera!

The DeSean Jackson Foundation Annual Gala

We were thrilled to be a part of such a great cause when asked to participate in The DeSean Jackson Foundation Annual Gala held recently at Philadelphia’s Water Works.  Along with his mother, Gayle, DeSean started this foundation to “improve the quality of life for pancreatic cancer patients and their immediate family members who seek information and assistance during such a vulnerable time.”

Some other supporters who came out to show their support for this foundation included current Eagles’ players, like Mike Vick, Jason Avant, and Brent Celek, along with some former teammates, including Correll Buckhalter.  To learn more about this wonderful foundation, check out The DeSean Jackson  Foundation website, here.
