Con-BOO-tulations!

Being a big fan on Halloween and all the holiday has to offer, I see the appeal in not only planning a wedding on the date, but basing the event theme on the holiday as well.  Speaking with many brides-to-be who feel the same way, the big question is : ‘How do I plan a Halloween wedding that is beautiful, glamorous and most of all, NOT tacky??’

We have had the pleasure of being included in several Halloween weddings, so we thought we would share some of the ideas we have seen thus far.

Decorations : Pull in the traditional colors of Halloween in your flower arrangements, place settings and subtly throughout with little touches.  Tall, classic candle sticks mixed in with floral arrangements will add something unique and festive.  Candle light will add warmth and drama as well.

Desserts : A fun, chic way of incorporating Halloween into your event is by having a Candy Bar.  Allow your guests to ‘Trick-or-Treat’ without having to go door-to-door 😉    Another great idea that we have seen is having a Pie Bar.  This is a great alternative for those couples that love pies far more than wedding cake.  Bring an assortment of Fall favorites like pumpkin, hazelnut cheesecake, or cinnamon apple.  Take the idea a step further by including spiced warm apple cider or gourmet candy apples!

Party Favors : Looking for a way to incorporate the fun of costumes on Halloween without wanting to invite your guests to a dress up wedding?  Have a ShutterBooth at your event and include a Prop Box!  This will allow your guests to enjoy playing dress up and provide you with some great candid shots.
