A Wedding of Witchcraft and Wizardry

This wedding was absolutely magical!  The lovely Concourse Hall was transformed in to Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry for this fantastic Harry Potter themed wedding.  Every table was named after a known location from the Harry Potter books and had a plethora of Harry Potter themed candies on them.  The kids loved that!  ShutterBooth showed off how their green screen can turn any event into a fantasy come true!

For the music, they had Wizard Rock!

“Wizard Rock” is a genre of music where the musicians sing about the Harry Potter books, movies & characters. There are hundreds of Wizard Rock bands around the world. Many go on tour, delighting fans at bookstores, libraries, festivals, and Harry Potter conventions.  Dave and Briana met at the Winter Ball, a Wizard Rock concert put on by EMU in March of 2009. “Tonks and the Aurors” was one of the featured artists playing that night, and Dave and Brianna both became instant fans.  Since that initial meeting, Dave and Brianna continued going to the “Tonks and Aurors” concerts, and since the band was so instrumental in their meeting, they have asked Stephanie Anderson of “Tonks and Aurors” to play a short set during the reception.  Ellen, from Dance Pro DJ Service made sure everyone’s wand stayed tapping throughout the night.
The food was great – the cake, true to theme, was a character as well!  Brianna’s dress came from The Brides Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor through the sales of donated bridal gowns.  All profits from the sales of the gowns go to the CSC to support programs and services for people touched by cancer.  The bridesmaids had black dresses with beautiful blue capes.  The bride and groom also had their dance surrounded in fog.  This was an extremely enchanting Harry Potter themed wedding!
