1.)  Tell us how you met!

Believe it or not, we met in Middle School and became High School sweethearts. Through ups and downs that college life brought us, we still remained best friends and finally made the decision to settle down after we were done with school. We can’t exactly remember when we first met, the “love at first sight” might have just been a tiny seed that was planted, but is now a giant tree with deep roots, and we cant wait until the tree gets even bigger and grander!

2.)  What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

Our wedding day was so awesome. A few things went wrong, but that’s just Murphy’s Law in full effect and that’s what made the day even more special. We wouldn’t go back and change a thing. Our officiant was so nervous before the ceremony and had a few drinks to calm his nerves and ended up being drunk at the alter, it was hilarious and really lightened the mood the the ceremony. The food was delicious, the music was right, the vendors were outstanding, it was truly a dream come true!

3.)  What was the inspiration or overall theme of your wedding?  What was the look or the most important thing you wanted your wedding to look like or have?

We wanted to make sure all our vendors and help were very local and/or DIY. Our last name is Karr, and my husband and I just so happens to be huge car enthusiasts. He had little Hot Wheels of our cars as wedding cake toppers and his cufflinks for the groomsmen were little gear shift patterns. We used to have a little succulent plant that was our “child” back in high school and thought it would be fun to incorporate that into our flowers and invitations. I love to knit, so I made flowers out of yarn in big DIY painted wine and liquor bottles for our reception centerpieces. Some of our music for both the ceremony and reception were old classic movie songs, such as Singin’ in the Rain, and Fiddler on the Roof, which I absolutely adore. It was little touches like that that made it feel less ‘cookie-cutter wedding’. We didn’t have a quirky theme like, “masquerade” or “rustic”, but the wedding as a whole had us as a couple written all over it. “Us” turned out to be the most perfect theme.

4.)  What was your favorite part of your ShutterBooth experience?!

We definitely loved packing as many people we could into the booth, and mocking peoples funny faces, photo-bombing other people, and just the overall excitement that it brought people! We totally loved that everyone could take their photos home in cute little bookmarks, and we were so thrilled the next day going through the awesome keepsake book with every ones photos in it that the Shutterbooth girls made for us. Even our security guard and bartenders were taking photos with us! It truly was a big part in keeping the party alive!
