The Sanderling Resort & Spa Tasting and Bridal Showcase
ShutterBooth was privileged enough again this year to participate in The Sanderling Resort & Spa’s Bridal Tasting and Wedding Showcase this past weekend. Wendy, Debbie, and Alicia rounded up the best and most creative vendors in the OBX for their event.
During the tasting, guests were treated to visually stunning table scapes by Bells & Whistles, Sugar Snap Events, BB&J Linen, and La Tavola Linen & The Event Designers. Bells & Whistles decorated the ceiling with soft pink drapery that was enchanced by the magically lighting skills of Blue Steel Lighting Design for a truly whimsical ambiance to the evening.
ShutterBooth was able to provide our particular brand of ShutterBooth fun, and all of the couples and guests were able to take home a memento of the evening. Steel Drum Weddings topped off the night with the sweet and lingering sounds of the steel drum. Who could ask for a more enchanting evening at a fantastic venue??
The next day, we were up and at ’em bright and early to set up for the Wedding Showcase. We aren’t sure if Wendy and her crew actually slept, but the resort was transformed into a wedding paradise! Every place you went on the Resort was set up in wedding finery, from the beach to the event deck to the pier on the sound.
ShutterBooth was set up on the event deck in the company of Steel Drum Weddings (the sounds of steel drum on a sunny day on the beach…we didn’t want to leave!). The Duck Pond was also set up at the event deck. Each guest was given a key ring and encouraged to stop by all of the vendors, who had ribbon to tie on. Once the guest had collected a number of ribbons, they went to the Duck Pond to see if they could win a prize by pulling a duck from the pond (plastic ducks were used…not live). Many of the vendors got very creative with their ribbons, some with business cards and small pouches filled with goodies, it was very fun to see what everyone came up with!
We had such a fun time and it was a fantastic way to kick off spring!
