Well, its that time of year again… leaves are falling, temps are dropping and mustaches are growing! Tis’ the month of Movember! You may have noticed the last few years the comeback of the mustache… We here at ShutterBooth love mustaches… they are a big part of most of our events! And it so happens this time of year mustaches also represent a really great cause, a movement to raise awareness and support for fighting Prostate Cancer.

We are so very proud to announce that ShutterBooth is teaming up with Wish Upon a Wedding! This incredible company is “the first nonprofit wish granting organization providing weddings and vow renewals for couples facing terminal illness and serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation.”

Wish Upon a Wedding celebrates the courage and determination of couples that are in love during some of the most challenging of times. We are thrilled and honored to be able to contribute the ShutterBooth nationwide for such a beautiful cause and are looking forward to capturing memories that will last forever!

Wedding Wire was created to “ to create efficiency and transparency in the wedding and event planning space.” It has infused a technological aspect into the wedding and event industry, which helps the engaged couple plan their wedding in an efficient and organized manner.

Wedding Wire is not only beneficial to the bride and grooms, but is also an incredible resource for vendors. WeddingWire offers a self-service platform to reach prospective clients on the web and even through mobile devices! Vendors can schedule online appointments with clients, improve search engine visibility, manage social media as well as network with other local merchants.

ShutterBooth has utilized Wedding Wire for a few years now and we constantly are reminded of how great the resource is!

When we first joined, photo booths were listed under “Event Rentals,” which made it confusing to find ShutterBooth on the vast site. Recently this tab changed to “Event rentals and Photo booths,” which was very exciting news to ShutterBooth.  This tells us, as well as our clientele, that  photo booths are not just a fad and we are here to stay! Photo booths are not going away they are really just getting more personalized.

This weekend is your last chance to get to the California Mid State Fair!

For those of you who are not familiar, the California Mid State Fair is Central California’s annual fair located in Paso Robles. It’s riddled with competitive exhibits, carnival rides, lots of animals, fried food, concerts and so much more!

This year head liner concerts included Alabama, Journey, Brad Paisley, Earth Wind and Fire…and the diverse list goes on and on!

On the evening Brad Paisley performed, ShutterBooth was at Jimmy’s Watering Hole supporting KJug’s 20th year of supporting the California Mid State Fair.

The Fair is open 12pm-12am so there is plenty of time this weekend to get out there and experience Central California’s annual entertainment event. Admission is very affordable and there are city to city shuttles that make it very easy to get to and from the fairgrounds.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe day! We’re excited to celebrate this glorious day with some folks at Mitchell Park in San Luis Obispo and at the Monarch Club in Nipomo!

If your in the area join ShutterBooth, the City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department and Rotary SLO Monday Club for an Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration at Mitchell Park in San Luis Obispo from 11am-3pm. There will be all sorts of fun festivities for the entire family  including free carnival games, sweet treats and a fundraiser BBQ in support of Rotary charities. There will also be a band playing music in the band stand throughout the day!
