On the spot scrapbooking

My name is Jenni and I just got married last month… We hired ShutterBooth to capture some of the more candid personalities among our guest list, and boy were we NOTHING short of extremely satisfied. We saw a special side to our many friends and family that could only exist from behind a curtain aided by silly props and maybe a little bit of Sauvignon Blanc.

But this is not the best part. We signed up for the Memory Book package, which promises a copy of every picture taken, plus a personal message from every smile. As with any wedding day photography, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the memories, but completely expected to have to follow up when I returned from the honeymoon.

Wrong. When I got home, my parents informed us they had already looked through the scrapbook, “about a million times.” Yep, they took it home with them THAT VERY NIGHT. On the spot, ShutterBooth’s team put together a gorgeous scrapbook, complete with cute adornments and stylish set-ups, beautifully framing all our fun, funny friend’s pics. It’s a bona-fide coffee table book at it’s best… and one we haven’t stopped sharing with visitors!

Emily & Stuart’s Shindig

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo in holy-matrimony style, Stuart and Emily tied the knot with their closest family and friends at Sugar Hill First Baptist Church this month. With guests young and old, the photo booth was alive with plenty of creative smirks, smiles and show-offs! We love seeing how much fun people can have once they get behind the curtain and let their true colors show! (Especially with the plethora of props we’ve got to share). This group had nothing short of a blast and the pictures prove it!

Check out our favorite picks of the good times and see the entire gallery from Stuart & Emily’s big day at www.ShutterYou.com!

Rachel & Dylan’s Photo-Crazy Pals

Sometimes, the best pictures are ones that require no direction whatsoever. And if you need some reassurance, just see what the guests at Rachel and Dylan’s wedding did to let loose and make a fridge-perfect photostrip to take home and remember their big day forever.

Despite the fact that it was Cinco de Mayo, we’ve never seen such spirit behind the curtain, such creativity with the props (or the poses) and we even saw one of youngest ShutterBooth guests ever give us her game face.

Check out some of the fun below and then head over the site and check out the entire gallery!

Pics from another top-notch prom!

We’ve mentioned it is prom season–we’re knee deep in limos clogging up the skinny streets of Atlanta, in competition with large numbers of high school parties at our favorite restaurants and florist shops are popping bottles of champagne over their peak season. And with that comes some of the best memories the kids at Mill Springs Academy can make. Make… in the photo booth of course!

Last month, these guys danced the night away at Cameron City Club and flashed their pearly whites (or their goofiest faces) behind the ShutterBooth curtain. Check out the still shots of juniors, seniors and even the faculty took to leave their mark on high school film strips forever.

Setting the Pace for Prom Season

Ahhh, it’s that time of year again… A special few months anticipated by teenagers across America and formalwear retailers everywhere. Sequins make an annual reappearance, high heels are dyed to match, rentals cash in and tiaras are gifted… yep, you’d know it anywhere–it’s PROM SEASON!

We’re kicking things off with a props-crazy clan from Pace Academy in Atlanta. These juniors and seniors packed out West Midtown’s King Plow Arts Center and proved that you don’t make memories without a few laughs, and even a few faculty members.

Check out our favorites below, but jump onto the ShutterBooth gallery page to see them all!

Props! …Or no props?

We’ve seen some pretty creative uses of the ShutterBooth props in the past, but there are always couples who want to keep it clean and create photo strips that their guests can cherish. Pros for props? Get ready to see a side of your friends and family that only 5 minutes behind a curtain with a pair of oversized sunglasses can deliver. Pros for no props? Look your best for four shots in a row… We say, you be the judge! Check out the props versus no props pics below and decide what you think works for the long run.

The bottom line? Props make for funny pictures, but a photo booth is iconic in itself… so whatever you choose for your special event guarantees laughs and good memories for years to come!

Save the Date with style!

There are only so many ways to announce your nuptials… or are there?

ShutterBooth captures fun, candid moments created by newly engaged couples themselves who want to think outside the box to get the word out. How ironic that this idea of individuality got them into the booth and behind the curtain! The result? Probably some of the most memorable ways to say, “we’re getting married” that we’ve seen.

Check out these fun strips – and schedule your own animated announcement today!

Lovin’ the view at Ventanas

Every now and then we have to take a step outside the ShutterBooth curtain and really soak in the atmosphere of the events we’re a part of, especially to admire the work of the great vendors we are lucky enough to collaborate with. This past month, we celebrated Veronica and Jonathan’s wedding at Ventanas, where we were floored by one incredible, unforgettable backdrop of the city.

A rooftop, roomful of windows gave this newlywed couple a chic, sparkling party backdrop, rounded out by award-worthy hors d’oeuvres and supreme service. Fellow camera-lover and rockin’ photographer herself Janet Howard Studio shared some of the city-inspired shots. Kinda makes you want to get married again, doesn’t it?

Ramblin’ Wrecks strike a graduation pose

Georgia Tech Ramblin’ On Graduation Party – IT’S OFFICIAL!!!

Last Friday, April 27th, Tech graduates left their mark on more than an alumni record. Anticipating the cap toss and tassel turn, these almost-new additions to the real world jumped into the booth to capture fond memories with fun friends before one of the most important days of their life. The annual Ramblin’ On event celebrates a successful end to college careers with free food, t-shirts (what would college be without free t-shirts), raffles, music and more.

ShutterBooth added to the memories by introducing the new “Shutter and Share” feature inside the photo booth. With the simple touch of a button, this allows guests to email their new headshots directly to their inbox and upload the fun to their Facebook wall. Luckily, we snagged a few for ourselves – check out these post-pupil pics!
