Spring has sprung, and everywhere you look outside, you’re probably catching glimpses of blooms in all shapes and sizes and colors! And it’s that time of year again when brides are putting the finishing touches on their spring and summer weddings, nailing down the lovely details of dessert tables, wedding favors, ShutterBooths . . . ya know, and especially selecting one of the most important details of all! The flowers!

There’s tons options when it comes to flowers, so many details to take into consideration, like color, vibe, and budget. In the end, while the flowers a bride chooses say a lot about her personality, just like the flowers, every bride is beautiful.

ShutterBooth had a blast being included in on the IHG & ART U Pub Crawl this year. Talk about a crazy time, and there was plenty of liquid courage to go around. We’re always excited to see what we’ll find when we pull up event photos, and we certainly weren’t disappointed! We couldn’t keep the grins all to ourselves, so take a gander and crack a smile. Locust Grove High School invited ShutterBooth Atlanta to be a big part of their prom night at the Carlos Center, and boy, are we glad they did! We were tickled pink at the idea of capturing all the sweet romance, silly smiles, and timeless moments that prom night brings. The ShutterBooth was anything but quiet as kids filed their way in off the dance floor…and we caught all the fun! Check it!  

Lindsay and Zack did it right when they said “I do” at the popular wedding destination, Cedar Plantation. ShutterBooth was honored and excited to be included in on the big day and we’re so so excited to share some of our favorite pics from the newlywed’s big night. The bride was glowing, the groom was grinning, and all their guests let loose in the ShutterBooth. It was a great time had by all. Check it out!

ShutterBooth Atlanta kind of specializes in fun. We bring the camera, we bring the props, we bring the privacy of a black velvet curtain. Turns out that’s the magic combination for cutting loose and letting out the wilder of one’s sides. We especially seemed to inspire quite a bit of cut-loosedness at the Cox Media Awards Dinner at the Intercontinental. Just look at all the grins and giggles . . .

Do you Zumba? Do you Zumba in a ShutterBooth? Well, these lovely boa’d ladies did, and boy did they have a blast. ShutterBooth Atlanta was thrilled to be part of such a fun and energetic event. What could be more fun than dancing, props and a ShutterBooth? We’ll have to get back to you on that . . . we really can’t think of anything at the moment. Talk about parties in solariums! Lindsey and Darin have got that skill down! ShutterBooth Atlanta had a blast rocking with them as we celebrated their knot-tying festivities at the popular wedding destination. So, let’s hear it, brides. What’s almost as fun to shop for as your wedding gown???? Bridesmaid’s dresses, of course! Not unlike playing dress-up as a little girl, taking your special gals to find the fabrics they’ll wear to your big day is just about as close to a perfect time as you can get.

Throw in pedicures and some champaign and you’re in the throws of matrimonial preparatory bliss. But the bridesmaid gown hunt isn’t always just fun and games, and it isn’t always easy. 

Take an average of 5 ladies and try to get them all to agree on a dress that will compliment each of their unique features, shapes and sizes, and well, maybe thinfgs aren’t as blissful as they started out.

But here’s ShutterBooth Atlanta’s 3 Tips for the Perfect Bridesmaids Dress Shopping Experience:

1. Have a Game Plan

Be sure to have an idea of the type of gown your looking for, general color scheme, fit and style before you even get the gals together. Otherwise, be prepared for more opinions than you can keep track of, and potential clashing of the titans. You wouldn’t lead troops to battle, without a strategy  . . . trust us, this scenario is just as important.

2. Be Considerate of Your Bridesmaid’s Feelings

There may be certain styles of colors that make one or more of your bridesmaids seem a little unenthusiastic about. Don’t immediately peg them as drama queens. It could be an insecurity they’re dealing with that makes them extra sensitive to certain looks on their body types. Be flexible when it comes to this. It’s your day, but she’s being a friend to you in participating, and you want to make your ladies feel as good about themselves as you do.

3. Remember to Have Fun!

It can be easy to let the stresses of planning your big day build up until it all feels a little overwhelming, even like a chore. Mix in emotion and differing opinions, and  your headed for a storm. Keep in mind what you’re all gathered together for and make it fun! Kick off your heels and let the dress-up begin!
