Meet Megan | A Shutterbooth Sister

Hey ShutterBooth fans – Have you met Megan yet? She’s been hosting with us for almost a year now, so we figured it’s about time we formally introduced her. To do so, we sat down to chat about the ins and outs of what makes her, her. And, why she’s loving the behind-the-curtain life.

Why did you start hosting?
For various reasons, really. But mainly because it allowed me to not have to a hire a babysitter. My husband or mom watch our girls and in all honesty… hosting has turned into my “mommy break”. Plus it’s fun to work with my sister – Emily

What’s Your Favorite Part?
The nostalgic feel it has and the memories I hear from guests at every single event where we work.

Can you share your most memorable event worked to date?
That has to be the one that started off with a torn dress (mine) being stitched up by hand by the matron of honor. But hey…it ended with me running into a famous football player when the wedding concluded.

What’s the secret to good photos?
To get the most of your experience in the booth and not to over-think it! Just have FUN and make a memory!

Where can fellow Atlantans find you when you’re not manning the booth?
There are a lot of places I like to eat and we just recently found a family-owned place on the gallery level of the Peachtree Center called Aviva (random, no?). It’s mediterranean food and I could eat it everyday. Otherwise, I’m staying busy entertaining my two girls and cleaning up after them, taking pictures, teaching kids at church music and hoping there is a moment in the day where I can exercise or at least think about exercising 😉
